GTIN & Barcode Validator
Paste your GTINs, UPCs, EANs or ISBNs — one per line — and instantly see which are valid. It checks the length and recalculates the official check digit, so you catch typos and fakes before Google does. Runs in your browser.
Stop GTIN errors at the source
Feedrou sends the right GTIN where it exists and sets identifier_exists to false where it doesn't, automatically across your whole catalog — so 'missing' and 'invalid GTIN' disapprovals stop happening.
Common questions
What is a GTIN check digit?
The last digit of a GTIN is calculated from the others using a standard formula. If it doesn't match, the number is invalid — usually a typo or a made-up barcode. This tool recalculates it to verify each number.
What's the difference between UPC, EAN, ISBN and GTIN?
They're all GTINs. UPC is the 12-digit format common in North America, EAN is the 13-digit format common in Europe, ISBN-13 is used for books, and GTIN is the umbrella term. The validator handles GTIN-8, 12, 13 and 14.
What if my products don't have a GTIN?
Don't invent one — Google validates them. If a product genuinely has no barcode, set identifier_exists to false in your feed and rely on brand, MPN and a strong title instead.
